🔥 What We’ve Been Up To 🔥

Over the past week, we’ve tackled the following questions:
🔹 How can we dynamically sync gameplay actions with audio using MIDI timestamps?
🔹 What sound design best captures the tension of Lovecraftian horror while maintaining a strong rhythm game groove?
🔹 How will the game look? What colour scheme, what perspective?
🔹 What’s the best engine for our vision—Unity or Unreal? (Spoiler: we chose Unreal for its stunning lighting and powerful audio tools!)

🎯 What’s Next?

✅ Multiplayer Expansion – We're expanding the mayhem to support up to 4 players!

✅ MIDI Audio Integration – Refining our gameplay loop by fully integrating MIDI timestamps, making track creation smoother and the beats even more fun to play.

✅ Art Development – Our team is fleshing out the Art Bible with character sketches, boss designs, pixel art, UI concepts, and effects to enhance gameplay feedback.

✅ Sound Design – Experimenting with different beat structures and sound layers to craft a track that’s both challenging and immersive.

✅ Combat Mechanics (if time allows!) – Adding a simple combat layer where players can whittle down the boss's health bar through rhythmic attacks.
